Thanks to Nausica who served us each evening, Karen who served us at lunch time, as well as Arielle, Victoria and Roger. We got to know the restaurant staff over the course of the week. Rommel, Sharon and Elijah at the bar were great. Vanity, Melissa and Chad at reception were friendly and helpful. The best feature of the SoCo is the staff. Lawrence gap for an evening, shopping in Bridgetown, or for any number of excursions.
You can hop on the bus outside the hotel for a quick trip to St. The location is perfect – you can walk east to the Hilton on tip “corner” of the south coast, or west, for about a kilometer along toward the Accra beach area. Yes, you can hear the busses as they toot their horns at the bus stop outside, but it settles down at night and was not an issue for sleeping. In short, the food was excellent, the drinks were great, and the room was perfect – modern, soft on the eye, with all the comforts and conveniences needed. Having tried all sorts of options in past years, we have come to appreciate small scale hotel that focus on offering a quality experience. From the moment of arrival, when we opened the lobby door and Vanity welcomed us by name, we knew we had made a great choice for our vacation. We spent a week at the SoCo in mid-December.
